3 GUYS BIKE TO
BATTLE MS

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, disabling disease that affects the nervous system and disrupts the flow of information between the brain and the body. It afflicts over 2.3 million people worldwide and affects people of all backgrounds, and currently, there is no known cure. On August 12th, 2018, Philip Penta, Sr. – an original founder of Three Guys, and the father of Three Guys’ Managing Partner Phil Penta – was lost to the world due to MS, after a courageous 20-year fight. On October 20th 2019, Phil’s son will participate, along with dozens of family and friends, in Bike MS, a one-day, 50-mile ride through New York City. Bike MS was organized by the National MS Society, and Phil’s team proudly raised thousands of dollars toward the fight against the disease.

Here at Three Guys, we stand in support of and solidarity with everyone around the world who’s affected, either directly or through loved ones, by multiple sclerosis. This is a fight we’ll eventually win.

3 GUYS TEAMS

UP WITH RLC

It’s an unfortunate fact of life that far too many people either haven’t got enough to eat, or haven’t got access to healthy nutritional options. Another unfortunate reality is the fact that every day, all across America, an astonishing amount of food goes to waste.

As NPR reports, “one-third of all the food produced each year for human consumption is never eaten.” This is why we’ve teamed up with RLC (Rescuing Leftover Cuisine), a nonprofit organization that distributes unused food and produce to the underserved. They do this largely via food banks and soup kitchens, the receive their unused sustenance by donation, and we’re proud to say that in 2018 we donated over 40,000 meals totaling over 48,000 pounds of produce that would have gone to waste! You can learn more about RLC at their website.

LET THY FOOD BE

THY MEDICINE

Fresh fruits and vegetables have been shown to improve symptoms of multiple sclerosis, along with many other illnesses. In fact fresh produce has been shown to be helpful for not just fighting the effects of illness, but preventing a wide array of illnesses and even chronic diseases. Helping our community stay healthy is one of the greatest rewards for what we do at
3 Guys.
