Since we first opened our doors in 1998, you’ve welcomed us with open arms. We’re thankful for your acceptance, and we’re proud to have been able to serve and help feed the community we’ve been part of for so long. We believe transparency is an important part of any relationship, and it’s important to us to be transparent with you now.
As you know, New York City recently raised its minimum wage by $2 per hour. We consider this to be good news; we understand the importance of being on the right side of history when it comes to the working people of this city and their ability to earn a living wage. This is consistent with our mission, which is to provide fresh produce at great value while building sustainable careers for our team.
With wages increasing, we’re making adjustments in order to retain our employees while remaining competitive enough to continue serving you. Realistically speaking, our prices may go up a bit in an effort to strike this delicate balance. We’re asking you, our valued customers, to stick with us as we work through these changes and keep our mission in mind.
Rest assured that you, and the New York City community we serve, are always a top priority in everything we do. We are grateful for your support, and will continue to find ways to reward the loyalty and appreciation you’ve shown us for all these years. In the words of Managing Partner Phil Penta, “that’s the kind of company we are and the kind of company we want to be.”
We’re not going anywhere, and we look forward to seeing you at 3 Guys.
